Job DescriptionThe Engineer R&D – defines factory and service requirements for new products and contributes to the product and process improvements after release. The engineer understands the importance of customer satisfaction, and succeeds through dedication, enthusiasm, cooperation, technical expertise and working with a network of expert people within Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Deliverables:
- Design of electronic circuits changes and their integration into systems
- Layout of PCBs, cable harness specifications, arrangement of prototype manufacturing and their performance testing
- Checking and archiving of technical documentation
- Troubleshooting of new prototypes and released systems in order to identify discrepancy in electronics to avoid failures or improve performance
- Contributes to the innovation of the relevant electronics technologies for our products.
- Maintain good relationships with our strategic co-developers and manufacturing partners.
- Develop close relationships with Manufacturing, Logistics, Sourcing, NPI Engineering, TSS, PLM, Quality and R&D to adequately resolve technical conflicts.
- Ensure that activities are carried out according to the principle of “Customer focus in all that we do”
- Adhere to work safety, fire safety, hygiene of work and other regulatory standards. Clean and maintain work area and consigned tools
- Execute all activities according to Sarbanes-Oxley directives, rules and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
The Requirements
General requirements:
- University degree in a technical discipline, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills
- Willingness to work in high-tech industry manufacturing environment
- Ability to create technical documentation and engineering reports using common Microsoft Office and Acrobat applications
- Ability to plan and resolve issues that involve gaining cooperation of cross-functional, multi-cultural groups and sites without damaging relationships.
- Must be able to work for extended period in clean room environment
- Must have ability to obtain a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally as required (up to 25% of working time)
- Fluent in English and local language (verbal and in writing)
- Written and verbal communication skills
Specific requirements:
- Master's Degree in electronics engineering.
- At least 2 years of working experience in a R&D or industrial engineering environment.
- Proven history and knowledge of designing electronics systems, analogue to digital techniques, communication interfaces, familiar with EMC techniques, able to participate in technical debates and solve technical problems as a team member of the project.
- Fluent in English (oral and written communication, project proposals, technical reports, ppt presentations).
- Good communication skills, ability to lead and influence others.
