About the job
As SEE / EPlan Technical Designer, your main technical responsibility will be to successfully support the Engineering department with the goal to ensure the realisation of technical drawings in the fields of electrical systems. We expect from you a strong expertise in CAD, in order to define global system architecture, implement electrical equipments and products in collaboration with the Design Engineers and define the interfaces between sub-systems or systems related to mobility projects :

• Produce the quality drawings to meet client requirements of projects within given timeframes
• Modify and advise on altering design, variations and changes
• Analyse, review and evaluate the proposed design and data subsystem requirements specifications
• Produce design plans and deliver data and design information
• Produce technical sub-system documentation (design, reports, data files, interfaces, concept, ...)
• Review sub-system related documents
• Produce schematic Cable Distribution Plan, Power supply distribution, Room Layout, etc...
• Assist the manufacturing and ordering process
• Work with the integration and test team
• Support the system site integration and commissioning works
• Support the validation and approval works
  

Along with your technical skills, we expect from you to ensure a regular and seamless communication and support the interfaces between the Project, the Technical and the Program Management teams, as well as with the miscellaneous key-players on the project. This includes :
Reporting and controlling :

• Plan and control on quality, time & cost basis the project execution of the relevant work packages
• Analyse and supervise the fulfilment of the plans with regard to functional, technical and time-related goals
• Early recognise deviations in his/her work packages early, identify problems and solve them (in coordination with the technical project management, when necessary)
• Report the outputs of the controls to the Project and Program Management teams
  Interface, partner and risk management :
  
• Ensure and manage the interoperability of the system
• Manage the Interfaces, the Integration and the Testing & Commissioning
• Involve and interface timely the R&D, the internal and external subsystem partners
• In case of shortcomings escalate problems regarding quality, deadline shifts and collaboration within the given timeline
  Improvements :
  
• Drive ideas and activities as part of the project related tasks with the aim to improve the project results
• Use any possibility to improve the products and systems, as well as the system standardisation and system related processes
  

About you
You hold a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics engineering or related.
You are fluent in Dutch, English and French languages. Knowledge of German language is a plus.
You are passionate about the Energy sector.
You are autonomous, have an analytical mind, some good communication and time management skills and develop a natural team spirit, as well as a practical sense of priorities.
Your experience :

• You have a minimum of 3 years experience in CAD Engineering / Hardware Design, ideally for design projects in similar energy contracts
• You already worked in an international environment
• You already worked and lived experience abroad (e.g. within the scope of several business trips)

• Good experience in an electronic lab environment
• Energy environment (LV / MV / HV systems) and material
• Interface management and coordination
• Sub-systems Engineering
• Process Rules and Standards (CENELEC, European Norms, ...)
• Requirements Engineering, Quality Management, Configuration management, Documentation management
• System documentation, interface management and system integration
• Experience in Engineering, Installation, Integration, Testing and Commissioning
• Capacity for synthesis, analysis, capitalisation
• Sound judgment, able to take decisions
  

Your computer skills :

• High expertise in CAD methods and tools
• Expertise in Tools (MS-Office, SEE Electrical Expert, EPlan, AutoCAD, SAP, technical specific engineering tools, ...)
• Extensive experience dealing with engineering teams, customers and suppliers
